Profile

Medicine was never a career path I chose — it was a decision I made before I fully understood its demands. Five years at SVS Medical College & Hospital, Mahabubnagar shaped me across every dimension: the clinical weight of a 700+ bed hospital, the rigour of designing and executing an original research study, and the unexpected precision that teaching forces on you.

During my clinical years and house surgeonship, I worked across ten departments — and Obstetrics & Gynaecology stayed with me. Not because it was easy, but because it demanded a quality of thinking I want to spend a career in: work that spans from oncological intervention to the quiet precision of assisted reproduction — two ends of the same discipline, both unforgiving.

My passion for advancing healthcare drives my journey as a doctor. My deep commitment to groundbreaking research extends beyond my academic and professional pursuits. I am actively working on a research project that utilises nanotechnology to address metastasis in oncology. I aim to merge these diverse experiences to make a significant impact on healthcare, technology, and scientific innovation, driving positive change in the world.

Outside medicine, I work in digital art — not only as a creative outlet but as a source of side income. I find that the same visual discipline that makes a good diagnostician also makes a deliberate artist: both are trained acts of seeing.

Postgraduate aim

My postgraduate aim is surgical: Neurosurgery and Obstetrics & Gynaecology. Both ask for exact anatomy, steady hands and calm judgement, and both are gaining new tools from the fields I follow most closely — nanotechnology, robotic surgery and artificial intelligence. I want to train in India’s most demanding postgraduate environments and bring that precision to every patient I treat.

Specialties

  1. Neurosurgery

    Neurosurgery asks for the most exact anatomy and the steadiest hands in medicine, where the smallest margin decides the outcome. It is also where robotic assistance, image-guided navigation and nanotechnology are widening what a careful operation can achieve — the direction I want to grow in.

    Neurosurgery — the most exacting surgery there is, and one the new tools are changing fast.

  2. Obstetrics & Gynaecology

    There is no other specialty that holds oncological intervention and assisted reproduction within the same discipline — two extremes, both unforgiving, both demanding the same quality of clinical precision. That range is exactly why I chose it.

    OB/GYN — a clinical question observed in the wards became a published study — the field chose itself.

Three fields I follow closely — and where I hope medicine is heading.

Fields

  1. Nanotechnology in medicine

    Medicine at the scale of molecules: carriers that take a drug only where it is needed, and new ways to reach disease that has spread. It is also the subject of the research project I am working on, on metastasis in oncology.

  2. Robotic surgery

    Robotic systems give a surgeon steadier instruments, finer movement and a magnified, three-dimensional view through smaller incisions. In neurosurgery and gynaecology they are already changing what a careful operation can achieve, and how soon patients recover.

  3. Artificial intelligence in medicine

    I am interested in artificial intelligence as an aid to doctors, not a stand-in for them: finding patterns across thousands of scans and records, speeding the search for new treatments and cures, and giving clinicians back time with their patients. The judgement, and the responsibility, stay with the doctor.

Research

One published paper. One conference oral presentation. Both self-initiated and self-written, carried out with the guidance and support of a Professor of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at SVS Medical College, Mahabubnagar. Both outputs built from a genuine clinical question — not a requirement.

My published research — a first-authored paper in the International Journal of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Embase indexed — was not a checkbox. It was a Tranexamic Acid study I initiated in the OB/GYN department in 2022 because I saw a clinical question worth answering. That instinct hasn’t changed.
